Dear Shannon, if you want me to return your phone call from the cardiologists’ office it would REALLY help to have your last name, since the voicemail invites me to key in the first few letters of the last name in order to have my call directed.
And the reason I want to know which doctor I’m scheduled to see (which you did not respond with) is that the last time I saw a doctor there he spent three minutes telling me about my sister in law’s heart issues. I asked not to see him again but his name is on my blood test order.
It’s starting to look like it would be easier to find a different heart group than getva simple answer to a simple question from this one.
Student 1: Please stop rubbing all of your college acceptances in our faces, posting on snapchat stories every single time an acceptance comes in the mail. Stop commenting “8th acceptance hehe” etc. Everybody is worried about their own apps, and nobody cares about you bragging about getting into colleges you know you wont even attend. You applied to 10 schools you KNEW you got into just so you could brag about it, even though you don’t even want to go to any of them.
Student 2: You’re my best friend, and I know you’ve worked your ass off in high school to get that 4.0 GPA, and you’ve applied to all of your schools, and I’m happy for your achievements! But, don’t be salty and question get mad naming others others got into Northwestern and you got rejected. Admission to Northwestern to 4.0 students is not a right of passage. Grades aren’t everything. And I’m worried for you bro, you’ve applied to hella colleges but for a VERY competitive major, in which you’ve done nothing throughout high school to support your interest. Heck, you didn’t even take the computer science elective at our school when it was offered to you!!! Idek what you’re expecting, just be prepared for a rough ride. I’ll be preparing too, trust me.
Ugh this entire process is so stressful, and I’m probably going to get rejected everywhere too so I shouldn’t be talking. Maybe we’ll end up at Purdue together. That would be great fun tbh. YEET.
it’s been more than a month and the professor still hasn’t figured out our research schedule…I genuinely wonder what ‘negotiations and contracts’ he is going through.
It was fun to get together with the neighborhood ladies tonight…but gotta say, it was depressing that half the talk was about health…poor health of so many we know or love.
And to the neighbor who is going through cancer treatment herself…I tried over and over again to redirect the conversation to be more positive…I hope it wasn’t a downer of an evening for you.
Wow, there are a lot of snowflakes reporting posts lately. It’s a blizzard! I wish kids understood that not liking a reply does not automatically mean it violates the Terms of Service.
Why didn’t you listen to me when I said that you needed two safeties on your list … schools where you will be admitted, where you’d like to go and that your family can afford?
My 19 year old son is taking an EMT course this spring, free through the fire department just this one session per year.
He completely forgot that we’re going to Disney World this summer.
I seriously doubt he’ll be able to miss 4 classes in an 8 week session.
So he’s going to see what the story is. I’m hoping that, if it’s OK to miss even just one class, he’ll be able to join us for at least a few days.
I know he’s a big boy and needs to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. But a family vacation without the whole family just won’t be the same.
