Junior colleges are impacted and i know it is hard to get classes at some. but with the transfer program between sbcc and ucsb are you guaranteed to get all the classes you need to transfer to ucsb in two years? thanks

good question, bump?

I wouldn’t say you’re guaranteed, but for the most part it is very possible to transfer. If you live close to sbcc and you’re commuting, great, otherwise save your money and just take classes at your local community college, as long as you’re GPA is good and you’re in the tag program you’ll get accepted

I went to SBCC and will be transferring to UCSB this coming Fall so I can help you out. Classes are generally not very hard to get, with the exceptions of: English 110/111 and Math 120. And even in those classes, if you are on top of your s*** and register on time, you will most likely get a spot. Professors are generally very nice and accommodating if you display courtesy and interest!
