I’m currently a high school student and was wondering what it took to get into SCAD?
GPA, SATs, ACTs, etc.

Hey mac2424,

You can find the admission requirements at [SCAD > Admission > Undergraduate > Admission Requirements](Freshman admission information | SCAD.edu). SCAD gives admission preference to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and standardized test scores at or above the national average. To sign up for more information you can go to [Request for Information](Welcome!). Good luck!

SCAD is a terrible school esp. the graphic design department specifically. Both the students and teachers suck and have absolutely no talent. Everything that comes out of there is really bland, stale, and looks like everything you’ve already seen a million times over. Pretty much ANY other school blows them out of the water in every category.

The graphic design professors at SCAD are also a complete joke. Over half are FROM SCAD which is a warning sign that noone wants to work there in the first place. They dont actually teach anything either, they just tell you things you could read in any random graphic design book. If you want proof just look at any of the professors work if you can find it but most don’t show it cause it sucks so bad.

SCAD photography is a joke as well.

You would be better off in any of the Art Institues or community college pretty much anywhere.
