<p>I'm a transfer student currently looking at SCAD and FIT for photography. Any opinions?</p>
<p>May I ask why those two very different schools? What career path are you considering?</p>
<p>^He’s right - very different. It really depends the details of what you’re looking for, but I can tell you that a friend studying fashion design applied to both and ended up at SCAD. She LOVES it. Both schools probably could give her a great education for what she wants to do, but she likes Georgia and the people who go to school there.</p>
<p>I can’t speak to the quality of the individual photography programs but if all things academic were equal and my daughter were looking at SCAD and FIT finances would be a major part of her decision. FIT is a part of the SUNY system and costs significantly less than SCAD. Even an out-of-state student at FIT can attend for less than $30K per year vs. almost $50K at SCAD. Of course, if money is no problem…congratulations.</p>
