I am 100% dead set on becoming an OT, but I'm afraid about my chances on getting into slue's direct admit program. My gap is 99% weighted and a 93% unweighted, I've taking four years of advanced science classes and done well. But sadly I'm not the best test-taker and only received a 26 on my ACT. Do I have good chances. I know the minimum for the program is a 24 ACT but I'm nervous because theres only a set number of spots and what my competition will bring. What are my chances?

Hi! I’m also interested in SLU’s OT program. It’s my top choice for college. I’ve talked to both my admission counselor and students in the PT program (not the same but similar) and you should have a pretty good chance. From what I understand the OT programs average is a 26. My admissions counselor said that they accept both above and below that number. I think if you have a solid gpa, especially in the science areas you should be find. But don’t worry about be nervous, I’m super nervous too. Best of luck to you!

It also sucks that we won’t know until February!

Thank you, I’m glad there’s other people who are nervous too because everyone at my school seems to be confident about their school and I’m just extremely scared about getting into the program. February seems way too far away! Best of luck to you too. Who knows, maybe we’ll be in the same class next fall!

Let’s hope!

Just for future ot applicants, i did get in!
