Hi,

Does Stanford ask for 1st quarter grades from the HS counselors of its SCEA applicants? My school is on the semester system, and 1st quarter grades are considered only a progress report.

Thanks.

ben12345_5,

I was wondering the exact same thing. Someone, please help with this question.

I asked stanford admissions the same question, and this is the reply I received.

If your first quarter grades are available by the Early Action deadline,
your school is welcome to submit those along with your transcript. However,
we normally assume no senior year grades will be available when we make our
Early Action decisions.

thanks kessen227!

huge relief

They get whatever grades that shows up on your school's transcript. For me, it only showed semester grades so my progress B's never got anywhere. Ask for a copy of your own transcript and see what it's like.
