I mentioned in another post that I scored a 1440(700CR and 740M)
I’m an international from Zambia.
If I take my Subject tests and submit my SCEA application in October as planned, will Harvard wait to receive my Nov SAT score before evaluating my application or will they have already made a decision that a hopefully higher (or lower LOL) SAT score would not influence?
During the RD cycle, an applicant’s file is supposedly not read until all the elements of the file have been submitted. However, as the SCEA cycle is compressed into a very short 6 weeks, and the full Admissions Committee starts meeting around Thanksgiving (about the time your new SAT scores will arrive), Admissions may give your application a pre-read, make an initial determination, put your application aside until your new test scores have been received, and then do a final read. It’s anyone guess really.
Harvard states clearly that they will accept scores from the November SAT for consideration for early admission, and there isn’t a need for rush reporting.
