SCEA - Class of 2011

i gave my teachers all my recs for stanford and my RD schools all at once.

On the rushing scores thing, I was wondering the samething, but the Stanford website says that would be the last date to take them for SCEA, so I am assuming that you don't. But I emailed them to be sure, still have not received a response. Ill let you know as soon as I do. Does college board even have a rush service? Also I talked to someone else on the forums, and they said october should be fine without rush.

Yes, CB does have a rush service. It costs almost $30. Get the answer from admissions, just so you won't have to spend that much money... :D

hmm I while ago when I was reading the instructions for applying I remember reading something about how they DO NOT want you to rush the scores...but maybe you'd have better luck calling the admissions office on monday.

also this is kind of a dumb question but when you send SAT I scores..are your SAT II scores also sent? or do you have to send those separately or something?

Yup, all your SATII scores are sent too. :]

nope all the scores are sent at once...SAT reasoning, SAT IIs, and is inclusive of all sittings

haha i guess we posted at the same time chillaxin :)

haha that's pretty cool (the same time posting) thanks!

Haha, it's only because you're so special that everyone has to race to answer your questions. ;D

I'm so close to being completely done with one of my short essays, but I have to figure out some way to cut out another 100 characters dangit.

Same here. I have an arduous 349 characters left. Argh...

And I just need to sit down and write for this long essay.

Yea? I have 800 characters to cut out of one of mine. I'm thinking about just scratching it and starting anew.. sigh..

Hey, good luck with the essays and everything, guys! :)
Quick question...about the 'what you did the past two summers' part, do you simply list your activities, or do you construct them into an extremely short essay? Does it have to be really detailed or anything?

Oh, just thought of another question...do counselors send the counselor recommendation together with the transcript or seperately? My school doens't send transcripts for students, so I'm wondering...

Thanks in advance!

I wrote it in complete sentences, but it was far from an essay. It went along something like "Summer '06: I did research at Stanford's CCIS Research Program during the weekdays. On weekends, I..."

I believe the transcript is supposed to be included in the school report, but I could be wrong.

Yes and yes to what chillaxin has said.

Anybody else waiting on Siemen's results?

I heard I was supposed to send my transcript separate.. Interesting..

Just curious, is there anyone else who feels like they have no awards to fill up the space they give you. I have stuff thats so and so, but nothing as amazing as siemens finalist or things like that. :(

I know how you feel. And you can't even put sports awards in the awards section. argh.

Haha.. that's what siemen's is for. Otherwise, my awards section is looking rather dismal as well :(

And I am so far behind for my essays :(

devaaki, I'm so far behind on my essays too =/ I haven't even got a draft (or for that matter..a real idea) for my long essay :(

No draft here either man.
