I haven’t received my results for admittance yet for Baylor University. I applied SCEA. When does the next wave release?
I’m pretty anxious. I love their pre-med program, and was wondering if I had a chance:
GPA: 84/100 (89 GPA Junior year, best year, and that was after a very large surgery. I made sure to mention that in the little box they provide when you register).
ACT: 26
SAT: 1090/1600 (didn’t mean to submit it, but did anyway by accident. I was sick when I took it. They said not to worry about it and just take the highest score into account, so my ACT in this case).
Status: Applied SCEA
I did an official tour, I also went to the meeting when they visited my school and filled out one of those cards and put my status as extremely interested. I even emailed the local admissions guy twice with questions, and saw him in person when he came to my school to talk about Baylor. I made sure to let him know it was me, and I thanked him and shook his hand.
Recommendations: Two recommendations, one from counselor and one from Dean of Students
Essays: Really good, spent 2 weeks on them. Mentioned the fact that I had major surgery to correct my scoliosis, and that it was done by a Baylor University alumnus
Background: I am Middle Eastern, so I am white. However, I put my religion as Islam. I also go to a private religious high school. I heard a lot of kids from my school get accepted to Baylor University just based off the name and good history our schools have.
