Okay, I have my parents' tax returns on hand, and their 1040 is with me. However.. I also have several Schedules that they had filled out. Do I send those to the FINAID offices as well?

Also, there were some discrepancies between the estimated CSS Prof/FAFSA numbers and the current numbers I have on hand. Do I change the numbers on paper or write a letter to the FINAID office requesting that they just get the numbers from the 1040 etc.,?

If the financial aid office has requested copies of your parents tax returns, you need to send a COMPLETE copy - meaning attach all the schedules as well as the 1040.

You do NOT have to explain or note any differences between information on the return and the FAFSA or Profile. The college will figure out the tax returns on their own, and the numbers on the actual return will take precedence over any estimated numbers you may have provided on other forms.
