Hi, I am currently a Junior and have just picked out my schedule for the upcoming year, but am not sure if I am challenging myself enough in math. My schedule is as follows:
IB Business and Manangement HL 2
IB Approach to Learning 2
IB Biology HL 2
IB Chemistry SL 2
IB English Lit HL 2
IB Geography SL
IB Math Studies SL
Human Anatomy and Physics.
I want to go into the medical field when I am older, so I that is why I am taking IB Biology and Chemistry. However, many of my friends have been telling me to drop IB Chem for AP Calculus AB because IB Math Studies is way to easy and Calculus looks better to colleges. Personally, I dislike math and its tests stress me out, but I am not necessarily bad at it, I just have to put some effort into understanding it. I want to get into Georgetown University or George Washington University. Basically, I feel as though I have 3 options:
- Drop IB Chemistry and take AP Calculus.
- Leave my schedule as is so that I have one class that is stress-free
- Replace IB Math Studies with AP Calculus AB.
Please help?
