Schedule help, please!

I'm creating a schedule for the weekdays when I am at school my first semester. I already have a schedule of my classes, but I am looking at when between classes will be a good time to eat, good time to study, and good places to do this. I know it sounds dorky and overplanned but my nature is to be quite bohemian (ie lazy) so if I don't create structure for myself I will get really disorganized and be rushing everywhere and never get any studying done.

So these are my questions for current college students:

*Do you find it more effective to study for a class before or after the class itself?
*All of my classes have both lecture and lab/discussion sections, on different days. Do you usually need to study before a lab more than a lecture, since there is more participation? Or is that some crazy idea I came up with?
*I know you should study 3829 hours for every hour you spend in class and yada yada, but I get ADD sometimes, so I am just going to make a commitment to studying 1 1/2 hours at night. That is in addition to studying throughout the day here and there before and after classes. Having said that, do you recommend doing 30 minutes of work in each of my three classes (they are all 5 credit classes because of the labs and lectures) or should I pick a subject every night and work straight? What are the pros and cons of each?

1- After the class when the material is still fresh in my mind.

2- It depends on what kind of lab it is and what you will be doing that day, but usually you'll need to at least go over your notes before. Most of the time, you're assigned to groups of lab-partners. So be considerate and come prepared.

3- Personally, I don't really set a number of hours I must study per class. I just study when I need to. That is, when we're covering certain concepts that are difficult and/or require practice, when I begin an assignment, and when I study for a test or exam. Of course I do random readings when I'm in the bathroom, but maybe I'm just strange.

Thanks! Anyone else?
