I working with my schedule and Im wondering is it smart to have 17 units (4 classes) as an incoming freshman? Or should I down it to 12 units and take a seminar class?? </p>
<p>Are we allowed and is it a bad idea to not take a math class my first semester? (my major is economics so it requires math)</p>
<p>take 17 units and a seminar. then drop the class (or seminar) that you like least. or two if it's too hard and you need to adjust to college life.</p>
<p>lots of people don't take math the first quarter. just make sure it doesn't hinder your 4-year plan. i know some people who are econ majors who are behind now and can't take their upper div classes because they require math.</p>
