How hard is it for a freshman to take 4 classes + 2 seminars in the first quarter?

<p>Why did my academic advisor keep telling me to take 3 classes? I feel like I will have lots of free time. I am just afraid that instead of having more time to review and do homework I will end up hanging out with friends instead.</p>

<p>It depends what those classes are and what exposure you’ve had on the subject as well as your own ability to study college level material.</p>

<p>right now I have like 2 schedules in mind</p>

COGS3
SDCC4
MATH20B
2 freshmen seminars</p>

COGS3
SDCC4
HILD10
2 freshmen seminars</p>

<p>Do these sound okay? I just cannot decide it because SDCC4 on the second schedule has a somewhat better professor ratings but I have to sacrifice MATH20B which is also important.</p>

<p>Both of those sound fine. After a couple weeks you’ll probably figure out if it will be too much for you and you can drop a class. I would keep them all and then make that decision when you get there.</p>
