I want to switch into a class that I want to take, but I'd have to switch out of AP calc (a class I don't really like, but am not doing badly in... i have a b+). the class i'm signing up for is not an ap though, but its something im genuinely interested in as opposed to calculus, which i dont plan on taking ever again. i'm already an accepted student, but i dont want this to affect my aid in any way. (i got a 22,000 dollar scholarship). I called admissions but have yet to hear back. Anybody have any idea whether this would affect it or not?

I think it depends on whether your intended major has anything to do with math. I’m majoring individualized study and I was allowed to replace precalc with psychology. And I haven’t taken a math since beginning of junior year.
