Schedule Question

So everyone tells me that AP Physics is a must to get into Yale. However, AP Physics B requires me to take Physics the year or summer before, which I don't have the opportunity to do, and I think AP Physics C will be a little too challenging for someone like me who does not want to pursue a major in engineering, but rather political science or international studies. Then, however, if I took AP Physics B as a senior, I think it would seem like I'm just repeating Physics Honors and being lazy.

Here's my junior and senior year:
AP Calculus AB
AP English Language
AP Chemistry
AP American History
AP Macroeconomics
Physics I Honors
Debate III Honors

AP Calculus BC
AP Environmental Science
AP English Literature
AP Physics C/AP Biology
AP Statistics
AP Psychology
Debate IV Honors

The AP Physics C/AP Biology slot is what I'm confused about. I really like Biology and want to take the AP class, but because physics is deemed harder and better for admissions, I really just don't know. Overall, I think my senior year has fluff classes, which I don't really like, but my debate coach, if I want to be Pres or VP, says that I need classes in which she can pull me out of (Psych, Stats, Enviro). I don't know how that will affect me either. I'm looking to get an unweighted 4.0 GPA (because that's what you need in a Florida public school with our crappy educational system), which is why I don't know about Physics C.

Any advice would be appreciated about what I should do about that slot, or if I chose to do Physics C, how I could prepare for the nightmare.

Thanks.

We need a 4.0 unweighted if we go to a Florida public school? Great... :P

Don't take your APs too seriously. Taking challenging classes is great, you're allowed to take classes you like, too! I doubt anyone would reject you from Yale saying, "Oh, well if only she'd taken that AP Physics class...we'd have let her in if she had."

Happy scheduling!
