Hi! I’m currently a Sophomore in HS and this is what my schedule currently looks like (I’m 2nd in my class currently too)
Freshman Yr:
Algebra 2 Honors: A-99
Geometry Honors: A-98
Physical Science Honors (mix of other sciences as well): A- 101 (did WAAAY more EC than was needed)
Humanities (combo of English Honors and History Honors): A in History (97) and A- in English (95)
Gym: A- (95)
Health: A (100)
Concert Choir: A (100)
Project Development (1st sequence of a 4yr STEAM program at my school- PM if you’d like to know more): A (100)
Religion 1: A (100)
Spanish 1: A (99)
Freshmen Seminar (mandatory class): A (100)
Sophomore Yr: School doesn’t offer AP courses but the majority of higher level honors classes are AP-esque (cover same material and most students who take these classes take the corresponding AP exam)
Bio Honors: A (97)
Chem Honors (AP Chem): A (99)
Humanities 2 (AP World History and AP English Lit): A- in both (95 in History and 94 in English) - class is still going on so idk
PreCalc Honors (no idea what happened here : B+ (92.47-literally .03pts from an A-!
Honors Choir: A (100) - class is still going but I’m almost 100% positive
Concert Choir: A (100)
Gym: (not athletic lol) A- (94)
Health: A (98)
Principles of Research (2nd year of STEAM program): (class is unfinished) A- (95)
Religion 2: 100 (A)
-AP classes kinda don’t matter right now though since I haven’t taken the exam for the classes yet
If anything goes according to plan: btw all junior and senior honors classes are dual credit with AP exams optional for those classes (and both Spanish 3 and 4 are AP)
Junior Yr:
Physics Honors (AP Physics I)
Calc I (Calc AB)
Calc 2 (Calc BC)
Spanish 3 ( AP Spanish Language or Lit whichever one comes first- I forget)
Humanities 3 (AP English Lit and College History) - college credit is earned for both classes
Religion 3
Gym
Health
Honors Choir
Concert Choir
Principles of Research 2
Senior Year:
Calc 3
Advanced Bio (AP Bio)
Anatomy and Physiology (College course)
Humanities 4 (AP US History and English Honors - both are also college courses) - college credit is earned for both classes
Spanish 4 (other AP Spanish)
Religion 4
Gym
Health
Principles of Research 3
Honors Choir
Concert Choir
Financial Literacy (mandatory either this year or Junior Year)
My question is: Should I replace Spanish 3 Junior Year with Advanced Bio, only because I’m unsure if Advanced Bio would fit in my schedule Senior Year (if I do this, however, I can only go up to Spanish 3). What should I do? I know a lot of colleges look favorably upon 4 years of Spanish.
P.S- I’m also doing a summer program at Harvard, which I can get college credit for up to two classes. If I do this and the college counselor at my school agrees, I could potentially skip the classes that would be equivalent to those of the summer program. For instance, if I did Calc I at the summer program, I could potentially skip Calc I at my school. Only problem with this is that, if I were to do this, the classes at Harvard will be applied to my high school GPA and transcript instead of my college one. This means that, if I were to not do well (anything lower than an A- honestly), my GPA would drop (current GPA is 4.5 and UW is 3.957- although this may change, since Soph yr is not over yet).
