Are we supposed to sign up for classes via online or wait for counselor's help at CalSo? Because It seems like Cal wants freshmen to choose before coming to orientation. Thanks in advance

i remember i needed an adivsor code to sign up for classes, which i got at CalSO. You might think you know what you want, but they usually got this workshop that helps you figure out what classes to take. Its really impersonal though, but it saved me from taking a ginormous, unhandleable workload.

hopeful: The L&S online orientation (or any collegs's advising orientation that they ask you to complete before coming to CalSO) is to lay the foundation and groundwork for you to get a list of classes going. It's meant to complement your CalSO, not replace it. It's an opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the college, but your adviser and counselor will help you narrow it down and provide a workable schedule.
