I'm just going into my freshman year this fall, and the school I'm going to has a sort of guideline of what classes everyone in each major will take (like, they have a chart of which classes you'll probably take for each year, though some differ if you do better or worse on the placement test). I just got my schedule, and I only have two freshman classes. The rest are sophomore classes.

I'm taking upper level classes before taking Biology I, like Domestic Animals I and Clinical Experience. I got the best grant when I applied and was put straight into the pre-vet program (which apparently is really competitive at this school) because I did really well in science courses, but I should still have to take the basic core classes first, right? Like english?

I tested out of the basic college english and they said I'd be put into english comp, but I don't have any english courses at all. Could this be a mistake, or does this sort of thing happen sometimes?
