scheduling nightmare- no science now

ok, so i had my entire schedule all set, but they just canceled the science class that i was signed up for and now i'm completely f***ed for senior year. i was going to take bioethics because i'm not that interested in science but i knew not having any science would hurt me and that seemed like a great alternative, but the school randomly canceled the class so now i don't know what to do.

these are the other classes i'm taking, and i really can't drop any of them:
-ap english lit
-ap euro
-ap calc bc
-honors international relations
-accelerated french v
-peer mentoring

that leaves me with one free period which i was planning on filling with a semester bioethics class, but now i don't know what to do- physics takes a period and a half so it doesn't fit in my schedule, enviro would fit but it's full and i can't transfer in, and the other semester science electives are either full or completely suck.

do you guys see any option for me, or am i just screwed? i'm considering taking the free period and maybe enrolling in an online community college science class if i can find one- do you think that would make up for not taking a science class at high school? do you see any other options that i should be considering?

thanks for all your help! :)

How many science classes have you already taken? If your transcript is lacking in science, then I recommend signing up for the community college online science course if you can’t fit another high school science course into your schedule. If you have enough science credits (3-4) then it probably won’t make a huge difference for your senior year in regards to college admissions.

i’ve taken 3 classes already (earth science, biology, and chemistry); do you think that’s enough?

I think you should take another science next year to be safe as most elite colleges will want to see biology, chemistry, and physics taken during high school.

^ok, hopefully i’ll find physics online at a community college- i’ve already found an environmental science that would work- do you think that would be ok, or would physics work better?

I agree with the above. They’re going to expect the most rigorous load you can take, so find something to fill that spot.

^do you mean that i should fill in my free period with an elective, or take a science course outside of the high school?

I think you should have taken physics rather than earth science because if you have those three main lab sciences a fourth year of science wouldn’t have been necessary If you were not majoring in something science related.

^well that wasn’t really an option at my school, so i’m more wondering what i can do now…i need to talk to my school guidance counselor to discuss my options but i’m thinking an online class is the only thing that’s possible, so i think my main question right now is if enviro would look ok (something that interests me a lot more), or if i need physics?

I think you have a pretty good schedule already and you have already completed three years of science so there may be no need to take the online course. I would say that the physics class would look better on your transcript but if your interested in the environment class you should take that. I actually opted out of taking a science course this past year and it had no effect whatsoever on my college admissions plus I had to drop science so I could fulfill my business requirement.
