Scholar's Day

We were unable to attend, anyone want to share their experience? How was the weather?

The weather was terrible. It was cold (for Columbia) and a bit rainy.

It was an interesting day. We were able to tour the dorms, sit in on some information sessions, and tour the campus again.

It wasn’t a make or break experience for me… but I suppose it might have been for people who had never been to USC before. There were so many out of state students. On my tour, there were only 2 other people from instate.

So glad you had a good time. Accepted for Spring, waitlisted for Fall. Hmmm…any thoughts?

I really enjoyed it. It was my first time on campus. I got there on Thursday, my mom and I walked around campus for awhile and then we took a campus tour on Friday. I also got to tour the engineering department and did some Honors College meet and greet which was pretty nice. Scholar’s Day was good too, and I had pretty much made my decision to go by then. There was pretty much anything you were looking for to ask questions (Housing, Tech, Study Abroad, etc.) and I got a lot of my questions answered.

The weather was bad, though. My mom and I walked home from dinner in torrential downpour :(.

Couldn’t make it, really wanted to go but was headed out West for spring break.

Gonna try and plan a visit soon (well it has to be soon lol).

My parents want to go over Easter since I have a five day weekend, but I was on Alabama’s campus a couple of years ago during Easter weekend (on the way to visit family) and it was pretty much a ghost town. Came back a week later for a tour and the campus was alive and I loved the hustle and bustle.

so I’m going to try and talk my parents into taking me down on Wednesday after school. Would like to skip that day or do a half day, but my parents are super anal about me missing school (…yes it is the last quarter of senior year, they don’t care lol), but I’d like to see the campus on Thursday, the 21st. Then we can leave Friday morning or whenever, but by Friday, I am assuming the campus will start to clear out and my parents like celebrating Easter at home, so it’ll work out for all of us I guess.

And Columbia is only about 10 hours away according to mapquest, so with 2 or maybe three drivers, leaving early/mid afternoon we should get there early morning, but not too bad.

haha should have probably started my own thread for this.
