Scholarship and when to submit application questions

USC is my first choice, but I was wondering when I should submit my application.

I can afford the tuition for usc (well im pretty sure my parents can) but should i try to get a scholarship and submit it before the deadline of dec. 1st? or do you have to be a "top" student with like 2300 sat score and 4.6 gpa or sumthing?

Also, i wanted to try to do it even if i wouldnt get a scholarship, cuz i think they let u know if u got in early..or do they not?

i am taking my subject tests for the first time in october. and retaking sat's in november. i think i get the scores in time if i submit it on november 26...which is a couple days before the scholarship deadline. but i have an 1800 so should i just wait to take the december sats and then see what i get?

sorry this is so confusing..idk if i made any sense.

I think you can submit your application now (so that it’s done and you dont have to worry about it) and then when you get the results of the Oct and Nov SATs, send them off then. USC won’t start looking at your file until after Dec 1 anyway, so as long as its all there by then it will be fine I believe.

oh okay thanx! i was just worried that maybe they dont even check the score report that we send or if they review my app early, then they will automatically deny me…i know for sure it’ll be higher tho after i retake them. especially for reading cuz i never study that section and now im gonna do it.

Just call your admissions rep (on the USC website) for your area and let them know you are applying now, but plan to retake the tests and will be having the scores sent afterwards.
