I was wondering if anybody applying to USC or a current student might know my (not from CA if that matters) approximate chances for getting a merit scholarship (and the amount). Thanks for helping!

High 1400s SAT I

APs: 5,5,5,4
Four more APs senior year

Two years ago, family member with approximately same stats got $4000 a year in scholarship $$. Doesn't matter if you're from out of state b/c USC is a private school.

If I remember right, they'll probably make the crucial part of their decision without the benefit of seeing your first semester senior-year grades. My guess is the B/B+ won't kill you ... but it's just my guess.

By the way, they are NOT required to give you a scholarship just because you are a national merit scholar or commended. I had relatively same stats, also NM Commended, and there was no scholarship for me. I did get a pretty good financial aid package, though.
