Scholarship Chances

I am OOS (top 5 school in my state) and I was wondering if my stats would bring tuition down to in-state or possibly lower at Clemson.

-34 on ACT
-3.9 UW GPA (4.35 weighted)
-11 APs after senior year (so far - Physics B: 3, Bio: 4, Euro: 4, APUSH: 4, Language and Comp: 5)
-4 years of Youth in Government with multiple leadership positions
-3 years of varsity football
-Volunteering/community service through nhs, mao, and freshman mentoring
-two jobs, one at fast food for 6+ months, current at office supplies for past few months

Thank you to all who can help!

You’ve definitely got a good shot. The scholarships Clemson gives don’t usually bring it down to the same as in-state tuition but it’s pretty close ($7,500-$15,000/year depending how you rank vs other scholarship recipients, can also get additional money if you have financial aid or they have other available private scholarship money).

It really all depends on your class rank. As long as you’re in the top 10%, you’ll get a scholarship, though I doubt it would bring the cost down to in-state tuition. If you’re not in the top 10%, you won’t get anything.

From the Clemson financial aid website:

"Out-of-State (Domestic) Students

Non-Resident Merit Scholarship

Domestic out-of-state students with at least a 1250 SAT (CR+M) or 28 ACT and who are ranked in the top 10%* of their high school class will receive a merit scholarship of at least $7,500 annually. Students with higher test scores will be considered for these merit scholarships up to $15,000 annually.
Clemson Non-Resident Grant

All out-of-state students with financial need, who file the FAFSA by Clemson’s priority date of March 1st and meet academic criteria (at least a 1250 SAT (CR+M) or 28 ACT), will be considered for $2,500 annually in addition to any other scholarship(s).
In addition to the awards listed above, Clemson considers all admitted freshmen (in-state or out-of-state) for our restricted scholarships, which are usually donated by alumni and other friends of the University and awarded to incoming students. Typically, about 15% of our admitted students are offered one of these scholarships."

Coleminer. My D had similar stats as yours. 33 on ACT but otherwise almost identical and she received the $15k.
