<p>If you are awarded a Caltech named scholarship, it will replace a portion or all of your Caltech Grant.</p>
<p>so what's the point?</p>
<p>to help caltech save money?</p>
<p>can you fill out that form if you didn't apply for financial aid?</p>
<p>I think any highschool senior interested enough in college admissions to read these forums knows the benefit of a named scholarship (however worthless) on their resume. I sure did.</p>
<p>geez.... why can't they just give the money to Caltech instead of making EVERYONE apply for it</p>
