Is there a specific scholarship form to fill out? I submitted my application today and filled out the scholarship section completely. I am also going to give my counselor the Student Profile page for the Honors Program. If there is a specific site on Texas A&M's website where I have to fill out a form for scholarships can you please give me the link? Also, should I fill out a housing application if I am undecided if I am going to TAMU or not? Thanks.

I don't know anything about the scholarship issue. But when it comes to housing, I would go ahead and put down a deposit with Student Housing, especially if you are looking at the Callaway house or equivalents. They go QUICKLY. And you don't want to be stuck in a bad dorm, that's for sure. Your deposit for the housing is refunded except, the application fee, if you decide no to go to TAMU.

If you want to live on campus, you need to be accepted to A&M first before you can apply for housing.

As long as you fill out the scholarship form and turn it in by the deadline, that is all you have to do. They submit this to the various departments (for department scholarships) as well as Financial Aid (my S received a separate scholarship from them). If you are NMSF you automatically get certain scholarships.

I am just curious about how much you get cuz that also affects if I go 2 A&M or not....so any ideas or avg scholarhship for freshmen?

Are you asking how much they offer for NMSF?

no....I am asking for non-NMSF kids :[

No, there is really no way of knowing. I know two students personally who received the Presidents Endowed Scholarship (I believe that is $12,000) for, I am assuming, high test scores. There are also various departmental scholarships. My S did not receive any of those. Maybe if you call the Honors program, they can give you that info.
