I was happy to see this front-page article on a student who has been very active on the CC boards. Scholarships are his thing, and he's found a way to help high school kids get to college: Scholarship guru teaches kids the ropes

This is terrific, thanks for posting.

What a great kid!

It's great to hear that kids are doing great things! (He's from our town <grin></grin>

Applied for 75 scholarships? That's a lot of work, but well worth it for him. We have one, maybe two, kids each year who are really motivated to fill out apps at our local high school. One girl got about 18,000 dollars one year...enough to cover almost all of her tuition for 4 years at our local college. By living at home, she was able to afford college.

I know that living at home and going to the local college is not everyone's idea of the "ideal college experience," but she was just happy to be able to have the $$$ to get through college.

amazing kid. nice article.

Kudos to a generous kid, and a positive story about a college student that doesn't involve his athletic ability or his entrepreneurial computer skills. Bravo, bravo.
