Scholarship Interview

On Tuesday, I had a scholarship interview that was set up by the scholarship coordinator at my college. I have not heard anything from the organization who interviewed me or the scholarship coordinator who set it up. During the interview, they indicated that I had won it. Should I contact the scholarship coordinator to ask for an "update" on the scholarship, or just wait for the organization to contact me?

Scholarships are presented to the student in many ways. Sometimes a formal letter is sent to the student. Sometimes the scholarship is awarded at the end of the school year in a big ceremony. We waited many weeks to hear whether my son won scholarships (he ended up with three). Sometimes the student is told right then. I would give it a few more days at least. Sometimes they don't even bother to tell you if you didn't get it. It's a maddening process.

Thank you for your advice, shyanne, and I agree with you. It is a maddening process.
