so i just got my acceptance today in the mail.(!!!!) i went to the website where i can go to explore USC and i clicked reserve. there was no mention of a scholarship. does that mean i definitely didn't get one? i am not sure why i was accepted so early because im not NMF either. is it a for sure no on the scholarship idea for me or is there still hope? thanks.

bumpppp = ]

Congratulations on your acceptance!!! There really isn't any way for us to know for sure about the scholarships. That there is no mention of a scholarship when you log in to Explore may mean that you are not up for Presidential/Trustee, or it just may mean it hasn't been updated. (What Explore dates were you offered?)

Regardless, being admitted at this point means YOU are a student USC really, really wants! There are many merit scholarships besides the Trustee/Presidential that will be awarded later, and the early admits reported getting many of those last year in Feb, March, and even late April.

Enjoy your admission! Yay!

You can still get Dean's scholarship. There is a reason why you were admitted early.

Thank you for the responses! it makes me feel a lot better that i could still be getting other merit scholarships, but what alamemom said about possibly finding out in late april worries me. if i don't find out until that late, i probably can't go to usc, because i want to submit my intent to register at whatever school i go to earlier than that so i get priority housing and what not. i should be relieved that i got in but now it's more stress! ahhhh!

oh i'm totally in the same boat. Got accepted, no mention of a scholarship. If I don't get a major scholarship, there's no way I'm going to be able to attend as my family can't pay any money towards it. :(

amy12 where do you live?

amy12, once you are accepted, you can apply for housing at USC and get GREAT priority (because only a very small % of students are admitted at this point). You only have to make a $30 non-refundable housing deposit, and you can sign up now. It is worth it to risk the $30 if you think there is even a small chance you might attend.

Most of the other scholarship notifications are Feb and early March. The April scholarships were add-ons. My daughter was awarded a merit scholarship, and then in late April another letter came adding a another small merit scholarship. Many others posted the same experience! It was a nice surprise.

USC also has excellent financial aid, so if there is any chance you might qualify (EFC below $50,000) be sure to get all that paperwork in on time.

Congrats again!

i live in the bay area.

thanks for the reply... i will definitely put my deposit down for housing now then!
