<p>i applied to several scholarships but i heard back from a big one today. it was one for $3000 and i really wanted it. i ran to my house to open the sucker and i cut my finger with the letter opener cuz i was so nervous. I KNEW i was going to be REJECTED. </p>
<p>k so my finger is bleeding and i read the letter, the letter says that they had a panel of 15 people that voted me out because i am such a loser.</p>

in real life i am a strong girl, i am independent and dont let people know how i feel.
i have two people i can talk to about this money thing and i dont want to worry them.</p>

<p>yeah well when you get rejected you feel like a loser, and then you start thinking “maybe i will get rejected from all the other scholarships i applied to.”</p>
<p>If I did apply to any I would have probably gotten rejected from all of them. You don’t miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.</p>

<p>sorry to hear, have you tried other scholarships? Fastweb.com offers hundreds and I think even thousands, and a lot of them involve writing persuasive essays.</p>
<p>Btw, I wouldn’t be so hopeless after not winning the $3,000 one–after all it’s $3,000 right? It must have been VERY competitive. You didn’t win this huge one, but that doesn’t mean you can’t win prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) in other essay contests. Don’t be devastated so soon janey</p>
<p>I really hate these non-passive scholarships. I’m suppose to write extra essays, fill out additional forms, and set aside time and energy for an interview all for a slim CHANCE at making money?! This has to be violating some kind of labor law.</p>
