Any news from admissions? And does anyone know what scores usually are in the ballpark for the merit aid weekend?
I just called admissions. They said that “they are working on the Reynolds, Stamps and Carswell scholarships right now and they will be sent out next week”. Additionally, if you looked at the “email” that the person who wrote that thread said they received, there are many typos and odd wordings. So no, according to wake the emails have not come out yet.
Wow. That’s kind of pathetic that the person lied but it gave me hope for the invites haha.

I am super paranoid so I also called and was told that the dean was “in the process” of notifying finalists for the Reynolds this week, but that other scholarships would start their process in May. She didn’t know by what date all finalists would be notified.
I think perhaps that they have sent out invites and are now finalizing the list depending on whom accepts to come to the weekend and who declines. If there are declinations, other folks get invited.
@NCJones they could have but the person from the other thread listed the scholarship weekend as beginning on a Thursday and ending on Sunday. That doesn’t seem right to me.

Does anyone know what the typical stats and extracurriculars are for finalists? Is it limited typically to ACT 36-35s? Are there other critical factors that are helpful in being selected as a finalists?
@laurenlel I called yesterday and they told me that invitations will go out by the end of this week. I don’t know whether we should trust the one person who supposedly got called for an interview, I think it’s safe to say that they haven’t gone out yet.
@eldest well I’d say stats wise, the middle 50% for Wake Forest (from past student profiles). I think this is more based on your supplements in combination with your essays and extracurriculars. I doubt it’s limited to those people who were scoring within the top 2% of all test takers lol.
