So I'm taking Sat's in november and i was planning to take Sat 2 in december but now i don't feel that well prepared for it. So i was wondering if it would affect my scholarship chances in anyway if i took them in january instead? Does anybody know? I'd really appreciate the help

Yes, taking January SATs might affect your scholarship chances because January test scores will arrive too late for scholarship consideration (or even admission) at some colleges.

Some colleges have earlier application deadlines for applicants who want to be considered for scholarships, e.g. because scholarship decisions are made by a separate committee. Some colleges have a limited “scholarship budget” and the later your application is read, the less likely it is that they’ll have money left to offer you.

Of course there’s a trade-off to be made: weak scores won’t help your scholarship application either…

If you already have a final list of colleges you’d like to apply to, I suggest you ask them directly. You’ll get better answers from them than from us.

Oh! thanks a bunch Do you know if it would be okay to send the sat 2 scores in december after i get them? So that if they are poor i can take them again in january?

Don’t forget that not all subjects are available in December and in January. So it may happen that you take a test in December, but won’t be able to retake it next month because it’s not available then.
Good if you already now, just thought it would be helpful to highlight the fact :)
