Hey I’m attending college in Florida (standard degree for prerequisites) and I’m looking if there are scholarships available for me. I’m almost a sophomore.
I didn’t do well in high school, my GPA was barely enough to pass the graduation requirement. I never took the SAT or ACT.
Are you at a CC? Does your school offer any for continuing students? What’s your GPA ?
Yes Community College
I’m not sure what this means.
2.5, 3.0 after Spring.
Some schools have scholarships for continuing students. There are scholarships available for current college students - sometimes by major or geographic area. Some based on financial need, some on merit. Did your HS guidance counselor have a list of local scholarships? Maybe you can start there.
My daughter’s community college has what they call Foundation Scholarships. She applies every semester and has received a scholarship for two out of three semesters so far. Four year schools often have something like this for continuing students too.
Otherwise there are the national ones you find in online searches but chances on those are not good. DD did win one national one related to her major.
There are need based grants available (FL-SEOG, Pell grants). There are some local scholarships (many based on interests, parents in the military, civic work). Ask at your college’s FA office.
