Scholarships/Financial Aid and Honors Program

When do admitted applicants hear anything from Tech about scholarships/financial aid and whether they got into the Honors Program? Tx.

Don’t know about the Honors notification.
Saw it posted that fin. aid letters to go out about April 1.
FAFSA and GATECH app. for aid deadline was March 1.
Both had to be submitted.
Looking into it, I’ve found they refer to contacting financial aid office for specifics.

You might want to look into this link also for scholarship opportunities.
Good luck.

Is there a financial component to Honors? I know many schools offer a scholarship along with Honors acceptance.

Also, any OOS students at GT have any insight into financial aid? I have a low EFC, will be a Pell recipient. Any chance of decent aid from GT?

Check out the above link and this one too.

This isn’t like HOPE where you have to be in-state.

Good Luck

So Sorry-

Tech Promise is for in state- Please disregard.

Still check out the link for scholarships above -The list is big w/ descriptions of and particulars.

G. Wayne… best president ever.

I literally went and knocked on his door once. No invitation, no call, I just walked down to 10th street and knocked. He answered, and we talked about Georgia Tech and the Braves (he was on his way to a World Series game). We talked for about 20 minutes. Great guy.

And, and when we used to tear down the goalposts after football games, the students would march the goalpost down Techwood and sit it on his lawn. People then would bring out hacksaws, we’d chop up the goalpost, and he’d sign every piece. He’d hang around until every piece was signed (granted, it was on his lawn) and he was really nice to all of the drunk students.

Ah… the good old days…
