On Friday, I checked my financial aid and all of this was there.
I don't understand what all of these scholarships are for.
I know they're awarded by the school, but I just don't know what I did to get them.
I tried to look them up but I can't find anything.
Does anyone know?

UCF Grant Full Time Grant 1,200.00
Federal Work Study (NWFR) Work/Study 3,000.00
Estimated Subsidized Stafford Loan 3,500.00
Knight's Achievement - NRW 750 Waiver 7,500.00
Aid Year Totals 15,200.00

Federal Work Study - You will be working on campus, and all the money you make will go towards tuition.

Subsidized Stafford Loan - Obviously, a loan. Low interest rate, and you don't have to start paying until 6 months after graduation.

UCF Grant - Student Financial Assistance, UCF

Are you out of state?? That could be what the Knight's Achievement award is.. since it says waiver.
That would also explain why you have no Bright Futures Scholarship.

Gosh, I didn't want to work during college,
since I'm going to have so much going on.
But hey, if that's something to pay for tuition,
it'll probably be worth it.

Has anyone done the work-study programs before,
and know what all is involved?

Work study does not necessarily go to tuition. In fact in most cases it it not usually possible to use them for tuition as WS earnings are paid to you as you earn them over the semester and payment for tuition is usually due before then. Generally WS earnings are paid to you (at my daughter's school every 2 weeks) as income based on an hourly wage and the number of hours you work. If your tuition is covered by other grants and scholarships you can use the WS earnings for personal expenses.

swimcatsmom- So what is the point of them putting that under my financial aid? The way they do it is really confusing me, considering that it is not actually what I will have when I START the semester.

october4- I don't even know how I got any of it. That's why I posted the bulletin. All of that was up this past Friday, except the WS program- that was today.
