<p>Most college scholarships are awarded to students who are college-bound high school seniors.</p>
<p>There are few scholarships offered to undergraduates in other categories, though some corporations, professional organizations and colleges offer scholarships to rising college seniors in specific academic departments. Look on your college website and use Fastweb.com.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, most decent scholarships are for incoming freshmen only and are offered by colleges to improve their rankings (which is often tied to the quality of their incoming freshmen class.)</p>
<p>It seems like you’re looking for outside scholarships awarded to current college kids. There really aren’t very many - and usually they’re small and only for one year. So, if you’re having trouble paying for college, a one time small scholarship may help a small bit in the short-term, but won’t be a permanent fix for future years.</p>
<p>Some colleges departments will offer some small token ones to their best students, but not the amounts that make a big difference in college costs.</p>
