Scholarships for International students

Does Washington University in St Louis give merit based scholarships to international students? And if so, how much?

Google works. https://admissions.wustl.edu/Financial_Aid_Scholarships/Need_Based_Financial_Aid/Pages/International-First-Year-Students.aspx

what are your stats? I would imagine that an int’l student would have to have an impeccable resume in order to be awarded one of their few merit scholarships.

yeah I’ve been on this site I I didn’t really find my answer

so you’re saying they have merit based scholarships but they are limited? Okay thanks!
Do you by any chance know how much these scholarships award?

Contact the school and ask them.

The cost of attendance at Wash U St. Louis is $77,000 a year or so for the upcoming academic year.

I would wager a week’s pay that they do not award scholarships of that amount to very many…if any…international students.

How much aid do you need to attend a school that costs $77,000 a year?

How much can your parents pay?

Will you qualify for need based aid?

@thumper1 wow that’s a lot. From what I’ve checked up its a really prestigious school and just as you said their scholarships to international students are very limited.
Ive been advised against applying for need-based aid as my guardians bank statements prove they can afford such costs; although obviously they wouldn’t want to pay that much when they can save so much more money through scholarships.

Do you have any parents? Their information is what you need to use when applying for need-based aid. If both of your parents are dead, then your own financial information would be used.

@happymomof1 I’m looking more into merit-based scholarships

@BonnieandClyde

Are you not eligible for need based aid?

Why are you just looking for merit aid?

Your guardians?? You don’t use your guardians’ financial info when applying for aid. If your parents are deceased or incarcerated, then only your (student’s) income info is used…not the guardians’ info
