An international student looking forward to apply for an undergraduate degree at a U S college.Been out of school for almost two years now because of failure to get a full or at least good scholarship to sustain college expenses. Can that kid still make it?If so what are the suggestible list of colleges offering something better for 3.8 GPA student with a 1180 SAT score?
Do you have two years of college or will you be applying as a freshman?
Is there some reason why this student can’t go to college in their own country?
With a 1180 SAT score, I can’t think of one school where this student would be guaranteed to have full need met…where they could actually get accepted.
It sounds like they need a LOT of money to attend college here. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I don’t see this happening.
The failure to get full funding is because of those scores and stats. The stats are "average" and the colleges have plenty of average students, attending their schools, who are paying full fees.
Yes, you can still make it if you pay full fees. If you can’t pay full fees, then you need to attend a college in your country because the US schools want to use their minimal budgets to attract high stats kids. They cannot afford to fund everyone who wants to attend a US college, that includes both domestic and international students.
