Hey Everyone! I as wondering if anyone here lives in Kentucky (preferably Louisville area) or goes to school in Kentucky or the Louisville area and happens to know of how many and what merit-based scholarships that Kentucky might give to in-state Kentucky students. I want to go to University of Louisville's Guaranteed Entrance to Medical School Program (G.E.M.S.), which if anyone knows if almost as selective as many of the upper tier schools and Ivies and only accepts like 20 of the 100+ applicants each year to the program. If anyone could give me information on any scholarships available, I would be very grateful. I am a currently rising junior in Louisville and I already know there are scholarships for being a KY Governor's Scholar (am one) and being a National Merit Semifinalist/Finalist (Predicted to be as well). Any others would be appreciated!

There's this great site called google where you can find things out....
University of Kentucky | Academic Scholarships

...and, there's also this very helpful community of people on CC, but some are horse's pitooties, like this guy. Jerk.

University of Kentucky and University of Louisville are two different colleges.

Good point rrah. I should make sure I have my coffee first. Google still works:
Scholarship Programs > University of Louisville Undergraduate Admissions

When you see the same questions over three years about what scholarships, etc I get a little jaded. The first place to look for information should be the school's web site.
