Are there merit-based scholarships in Stanford University for international students?

Stanford doesn’t offer merit-based scholarships for anyone except highly sought-after athletic recruits.

Financial aid is need-based.

Unfortunately, applying for aid as an international student will decrease your chances. Stanford isn’t need-blind for internationals.

Yes Stanford does offer merit based scholarships for int-students…according to some research the avage amount for international scholarships is $29,000 sooo…yeah:)

@aleaiactaest…where did you get that info?

aleaiactaest is correct; Stanford offers merit aid only for athletes as far as I know. Most scholarships are need based aid.

Athletes are getting athletic scholarships. These are based on athletic merit, not scholastic.

However, many may already be qualifying due to financial need.
