My parents are moving to tallahassee in the next month for my dads job. Does FSU ever make any exemptions to the rule for waiting 12 months for in-state tuition? Would meeting with an admissions councilor and explaining my situation help any?

Why would FSU make an exemption for you? What makes your situation any different from the next person who also has parents moving to Florida and waiving the rule for waiting 12 months for in-state tuition for you? I guess I’m not sure how you think an admissions counselor could help you with this.

I’m pretty sure that the rule regarding living in Florida for 12 months is actually a state thing, not a university rule.

It’s part of the reason why you can’t move to Florida for your freshman year and then be declared a state resident for your sophomore year on in most cases.
