Scholarships (SAT)

I have a 2030 now in SATs, I've been practicing and I've been hitting the 2100-2200 mark with each practice test. If I get lucky, I could get a 2250 and try for the Presidental's Scholarship.

I heard Early Action has a better chance than Regular Admission to get scholarships. However, I'm retaking the SATs in November so I don't think my scores would make the deadline. I don't want them to evaluate me on the 2030 but I don't want to lose my chances on obtaining a scholarship. What should I do?

Should I just do regular decision? Or will they “run out of scholarship”, or do they just see scores

I know that there is a deadline for scholarship qualification. As long as you meet this deadline, you will be fine. You will not get less money because you applied on Oct 23rd and another person applied on Oct 1.

The ‘apply early’ advice is mainly concerned with getting in, not getting more money.

“We will consider first-year students applicants who:
Apply by December 1 and submit all required credentials by the due dates
Are U.S. citizens or permanent residents (for all scholarships other than the Rutgers International Award)” [Rutgers Admissions | What scholarships does Rutgers offer first-year students?](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/costs/scholarships/firstyearscholarships.aspx)

Even if you apply early action, you will not hear about your scholarship until December, after the deadline.

So in your case, I would apply when you have finished your application. There will be a space on the app to ask what date you took the SAT, and any future date you will be taking. Then just have College Board forward your scores automatically when they are ready.

So Early Action and Regular Action (Before 1/1/2013) will have the same chance of obtaining a scholarship? I don’t want them to consider my SATs before I finish my 3 tries. Which means I could apply around November 2X’s?

Please read this page.

It is under ‘first year merit-based awards’. “We will consider first-year students applicants who: Apply by December 1 and submit all required credentials by the due dates”.

Everything must be submitted by December 1 in order to be considered for a merit-based scholarship, according to the website.

This is a weird question, but can I finish my transcript, application, and everything, and just send send before Dec 1?

Dec 1 is the regular action date…so…yes, but you will not hear back as quickly. If it was me, I would send in everything as soon as I had it, (so your app is complete) and then have my future SATs forwarded as soon as they become available.

Does anyone know what the trustee scholarship at Rutgers is? Is it only for the Newark or Camden school because I do not see it listed on the scholarships for Rutgers.

You’re not gonna get a response when you spam the same question in five successive threads. lol
