Scholarships: when do they arrive?

Any past "big" (Shipman, LSA, Bentley) scholarship recipients, do you know when scholarships arrived after you'd applied? How many months after you were accepted? What month?

Speaking of which, do I have a good shot at any of the scholarships mentioned above with a 35 ACT, 2250 SAT, and 4.0 U of M GPA (or 3.98 if you count a college math course)? I'll probably be done with my app no later than October 10th.

The scholarships usually roll out roughly 4-8 weeks after you are admitted...and given your stats, you are going to be admitted! So, let us say you complete your application form by mid Octover, you should get the acceptance come mid-December. If you are to receive a scholarship, you will probably get it around Groundhog's day (give or take a couple of weeks). As for your chances of getting a big scholarship, I'd say they are good, but one never knows. But like I said, a 4.0 GPA along with a 35 ACT score will generally translate into a pretty decent scholarship.

I have a 3.9 GPA and a 2300 SAT I along with some pretty good ECs, so I'm being optimistic about hopefully getting some merit money. :crosses fingers:

I got Shipman and the Engin honors scholarship. Applied in late september or so, I got in mid-late October and I heard about the two scholarships on like Dec. 20 and 22 or so. I later got the small one, Regents.

It's a bit too early to worry about it.

OP: How many AP classes did you take??

I think I'll have 9 or something (5 from 9-11th grades, 4 in 12th grade).

Also, I found I got a 7/12 on the ACT Essay vs. 11/12 the time before. In terms of merit-based scholarship consideration, will my 7 Essay score will make a difference? Will they look at the higher of the two?
