Scholarships when not going directly to College?

Im a junior in highschool just trying to figure this college "mess" out. I was looking at the University of South Alabama's GPA based scholarships. How would they work if I were to wait 2 years before attending college after highschool? The dead line is "December 1 of the Senior Year". Would not going straight to college screw me out of most scholarships, or can I still get them and (in terms) "put them on hold"?

You have to get check with admissions to see if the college will allow a deferred enrollment and will hold a scholarship as well.

Thank You.

I fired off an email to admissions. Untill I get a response, what are the chances of holding any scholarships?

Don't count on getting a quick email answer back [ if you get one at all] Phone! Admissons offices LOVE to hear directly from students interested in their school! Some keep track of direct contact by students. It's called "demonstrated interest"

No college scholarships are awarded until your are ACCEPTED by the college. You have to go through the application process first.
