<p>Does UF give any scholarships or aid to incoming freshman who demonstrate financial need? All I have right now is Bright Futures.. I still have to fill out my FAFSA. Did any low-income kids get any money?</p>

<p>The priority date to file the FAFSA is March 1, 2011. There is dependent on financial need
Pell Grants ($5,500) FSEOG Grants approx. $2000-2,500 (although these are very competitive based on need) and Stafford Subsidized and Non-Subsidized Loans which for a freshman are $5,500 and possible Perkins Loans(up to $4,000). If you meet the income and asset threshhold there should be enough to cover balance not covered by Bright Futures Academic Scholars amount (formula changed for this year) and for room and board.</p>
<p>March 1st for Summer? I turned in my FAFSA yesterday but it’s still processing… will it reach the deadline in time? I think I’ve read that the deadline is the 15th for Fall/Spring. </p>
<p>Thanks Danielle! When can I expect to receive my financial aid packet? Will I get two packets since I’m starting Summer B? And in those packets will it include the Pell/Stafford as well as anything else I may get?</p>
