does wellesley give merit scholarships of any kind?

nope, they don't

Fwiw, Smith gives a few dozen but they don't advertise the fact a lot.

jennifer: No, they don't. My daughter was accepted last year, without an offer of one red penny. And I don't believe they even recognize NMF. On the other hand, Bryn Mawr says they don't give out merit scholarships either, but my daughter received one from them, renewable for 4 years, in the acceptance package. So..who knows?!

Wellesley definitely does not have them when you first apply. After you get here, there are random small things like Choral Music Scholars, which I guess are technically merit scholarships, but require work through the year on your part. I got a $200 one for being from Maine, but I only found that out a couple weeks ago.

But for the most part, Wellesley has absolutely no merit money. They do, however, have amazing financial aid.
