I'll be a senior and I'm going to apply to Syracuse, Temple, Maryland, Pitt, and maybe Penn State in the fall. I live in PA.

Weighted GPA- After my sophmore year it was a 99.58. This year (junior year) my weighted GPA was a 101.2 so I think it will go up. My class rank as of after 10th grade is 19/350, but I'm hoping that will also go up.

SAT- Took them in June. I'm expecting a 1650-1750.

ECs and Community Service- Baseball (will be all 4 years), Basketball (will be all 4 years), American Legion Baseball (2 years), Altar Server at Church (8 years), National Honors Society, Junior Marshal at 2008 Graduation.

Just asking for your thoughts and estimates from experience of how much money I could get from any of these schools.

What are your verbal and math SAT numbers? Those will most likely determine what you could get. Your grades are certainly fine, and if you are taking a rigorous academic load, that part of many merit awards are met. It then comes down pretty much to the SAT numbers. FOr example, Pitt has some full ride Chancellor Scholarships for those that have over a 1350 SAT (verbal and math scores). Penn State is not generous with merit awards. If you get into the Honors College (again 1350 is a requirement), there is usually a small award given for that achievement. Maryland, too, is SAT conscious in its awards. Go onto each school's website and check out what they have in terms of merit money and what the requirements are to qualify for those scholarships. Also look and see how many of them they give out.

I'll know my scores next Thursday, but I'd be shocked if I get a 1300 out of 1600. I am taking two AP courses and four honors classes next year so my course load is rigorous and has been all 3 years.
