Scholarships

Okay, so here is a brief summary of my stats:
SAT: 1540/1600 2300/2400
GPA: 3.6
Most Demanding Courseload
President of like nine million clubs

How much money do you think I could get from Arizona State? My parents told me that they’d pay for half of law school if I took care of undergrad, and I was wondering if it was possible for me to get full ride/hopefully more at ASU

Thanks

Are you out of state or in-state? This is the biggest factor.

For merit scholarships, ASU looks at unweighted core GPA only. Nothing else.
However, there is a general scholarship you can apply for that applies for hundreds of private scholarships. I got a couple out of that. That looks at more than just GPA.

Yeah, I'm out of state...
Does that completely destroy my chances of getting a full ride?

I guess to provide some background on my situation: assuming I don't get huge financial aid packages anywhere else, I would be deciding between Umass Amherst honors (cost ~ 10k after small scholarship) and ASU honors.
I've heard that ASU gives out a huge amount of money to kids with high SAT scores, and I was just wondering if it was possible for me to qualify...

I'm not sure about OOS, but for me, my scholarship was based on my GPA. If you are national merit, you get a full ride essentially, no questions asked. Otherwise, they offer a few merit scholarships, and I couldn't tell you which one you would get. I would just wait and see what they give you, then decide.

Something to consider too. If you get a scholarship that you're not really happy with, and if you're GPA goes higher or SAT scores go higher, resend your transcript and they can potentially offer you more. This happened with me.

wait, i recieved the sun devil scholarship with an 1850/2400 1230/1600 sat and a 3.65 uw gpa...does that mean if i send in my transcript in again including my 1st semester senior grades (straight a's) then i may get more scholarship $$ ????

I have a 3.6 uw GPA and an 1170 SAT and did not receive a scholarship. I had called them up and they suggested that I take the SAT again and they'll reconsider me, since my SAT score was the only thing holding me back. So i'm sure you'll get some money.

How much money is the Sun Devil Scholarship for OOS students?
I'll probably finish with a little above a 3.8UW, 2000 SAT, shooting for 2100.

S received $93,000 merit scholarship over 4 years. We are seriously considering this (Barrett Honors).

How much is the Sun Devil scholarship worth?$$$$

Never mind, I found it. How hard is it to get a full ride, or at least full tuition, OOS?

We are OOS and DS received a merit scholarship = full ride

What were her stats?
