<p>I haven’t looked in the Howdy portal. He rcv’d an e-mail last week telling him about the award that also said official notification would come in the mail with the FA offer. Sure enough, when we got the FA stuff yesterday it was listed there. The scholarship is called the Williford Dean’s Scholarship and is from the College of Geosciences. According to the explanation the college awards scholarships “in various amounts (depending on the availability of funds) based on academic merit and other considerations such as academic major, financial need and personal characteristics.” The letter says it’s a one-time award.</p>
