Scholarships?

I’ve been searching and can not find this exact information anywhere. I have a scholarship that covers tuition plus a little extra. This year, the extra plus my Stafford loan was automatically put towards housing. I plan to live off campus next year and am wondering what exactly happens to my scholarship/loan. I assume that I still get it, but in what form? A check? My parents are concerned about this in regards to living off campus and I can’t find any information! Thanks in advance

Yes…you’ll get the money either in a check sent to your address or in a check for pick up at the school.

However, you may not get the money in time for “move in” so you may need to make sure that you have “first month” funds already.

Are you borrowing the max student loan for this school year? If not, do so and put the remainder aside for next year’s first month costs.

Yes, I am borrowing the full amount, but I will be okay for costs at the beginning of next year. My parents just want to make sure that I will still be receiving that money.
Thank you!
